• It is IMPORTANT to use the mask properly.
• Incorrect use can make it easier for the coronavirus to spread.

Please follow the steps below:

Step 1

Wash your mask before using it for the first time (see step 5).

Step 2

Wash your hands or sanitize them before putting on the mask.

Step 3

Remove your mask from its bag/container.

Check for damage.

Using your fingers, hook the elastic loops over your ears so the mask covers your chin and nose.

Step 4

Using your fingers, hold the elastic loops and remove the mask.

Place it carefully – without touching the front or inside of the mask – in a dirty mask container or a basin for washing.

Wash your hands or sanitize them after removing the mask.

Wear a clean mask every day.

Step 5

Wash your mask(s) with soap and water at a high temperature.  Regular laundry soap is OK.

Handwash the mask(s) for 20 seconds, boil in water for 5 minutes or soak in hot water for 30 minutes. You can use your washing machine.

Hang them to dry or use an iron or your dryer.
